Stop comparison: If you want to compare, compare everything

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson
  • Many of us have the habit of comparing ourselves with others and because of that we often feel, that we are not good enough.
  • We often consider ourselves as not as successful as someone else or consider ourselves as not so talented, smart, rich, fit, clever, beautiful as someone else.
  • Often we compare ourselves with celebrities, sportspersons, our friends, and relatives.
  • The truth is that we all are whole and complete. We are always perfect. we are the perfect outer expression of our inner self.
  • We are already enough and we have enough but we deny this fact.

“Comparison is the death of joy.”

Mark Twain
  • We cannot compare ourselves with others and that’s not fair.
  • Because each of our life experience is not the same.
  • If you are comparing yourself with someone smarter than you, then probably you should compare everything, compare your life situations with theirs, compare your life experiences with them, compare the kind of childhood they had with yours, and so on.
  • Someone who is doing better than you in any area, probably doing not so well as you in other area in which you are doing great.

Do yourself a favor

  • One of the kind things you could do to yourself is please, don’t compare yourself with anyone in this world, because you are unique, you are incomparable.
  • Instead, love yourself and accept yourself as exactly as you. You don’t need anyone’s approval, you approve of yourself.
  • Your talents and abilities are unique.
  • Get rid of all comparisons instead focus on your strengths and abilities.
  • You are not here to compare or compete, you are here to create.

“The reason we struggle with insecurity is that we compare our behind the scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel.”

Steve Furtick
